Auto Parts Corner
Auto Parts Corner
Customized a Laravel inventory and POS script so one invoice can handle multiple warehouses, vehicle models and brands.

The problem
Auto Parts Corner sells vehicle parts across multiple warehouse locations. The inventory and POS script they used covered the basics, but not how a parts business actually works. At the point of sale, staff could select only one warehouse, and every product in that sale had to come from it. A part sitting in a different warehouse couldn't go on the same invoice. Parts also need to be identified by vehicle model and brand, and invoices went out without the company's own branding.
What I did
I customized the Laravel script around their workflow. Invoices can now draw a single product from multiple warehouses, show the model and brand for each line item, and carry the client's own logo. The biggest change is at the point of sale: I removed the one-warehouse-per-sale rule and added an all-warehouses option, so staff can add any product from any warehouse to the same sale.
The result
One warehouse per sale → any product from any warehouse on the same sale
POS warehouse rule
Client's custom logo on invoices
Branding
Single product sold from multiple warehouses on one invoice
Invoice detail
Vehicle model and brand shown per line item
Multi-warehouse invoicing
The client was running on an existing Laravel-based inventory and POS script. It handled standard invoicing and stock tracking, but it was built for a generic retailer with simple, single-location stock. A parts business is different: the same part can sit in several warehouses, the same product can come in different brands, and buyers care which vehicle model it fits. Out of the box, the POS locked each sale to a single warehouse, and every product in that sale had to come from the same one. In practice, that meant a customer buying several parts could only be served from one location at a time, even when the other parts were sitting in a different warehouse.
What I changed
All-warehouses mode at the POS: I lifted the rule that locked a sale to one warehouse. Staff can now choose an "all warehouses" option and add any product from any warehouse to the same sale, instead of being limited to whatever one location was selected.
Multiple warehouses for a single product: an invoice can supply one product from more than one warehouse, so a sale doesn't have to be split into separate invoices when no single location holds the full quantity.
Model and brand on invoices: each line item can show the vehicle model and the brand of the part, which is how customers identify and verify auto parts.
Custom invoice branding: the client's own logo on invoices, so documents going to customers look like the company's, not a default template.
Outcome
Auto Parts Corner now issues invoices that match how the business sells: multi-warehouse stock, model and brand detail, and its own branding, all on the system they already used. They didn't have to migrate to a different platform or change how their team works.
The system we had didn't fit how a parts business works. Now one invoice can pull from several warehouses, it shows the model and brand for every part, and it carries our own logo. It matches how we actually sell.
